Morocco’s Hakimi Confronts FIFA President Over World Cup Refereeing Concerns

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi is said to have had heated exchanges with the FIFA president, complaining about refereeing errors that would have harmed Morocco in the semi-final and in the classification match.
This widely reported incident took place on Saturday after the classification match against Croatia, which ended in Morocco’s defeat. Questioned about what happened that day, the right-back returned to the reasons for these exchanges. "Nothing happened. I was a bit angry after the end of the match and I went to talk to him. I apologized to him for the words I addressed to him. He’s my friend, and I respect and appreciate him a lot."
It should be noted that after the semi-final, some experts pointed out refereeing errors that could have given a different turn to the match. The FIFA did not react to the controversy.
