Morocco’s Hakimi, Bounou Among Nominees for CAF African Player of the Year

The Confederation of African Football has unveiled, on Monday, the preliminary list of nominees for the CAF Awards 2022 Player of the Year trophy. Morocco is represented with four players.
These are Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Yassine Bounou (FC Seville), Sofiane Boufal (Angers) and Yahia Jabrane (WAC). The awards ceremony will be held in Rabat on July 21 next.
As for the best players in club competitions, the kingdom is also present with six nominated players: Achraf Dari (WAC), Yahya Jabrane (WAC), Zouhair El Moutaraji (WAC), Mouhcine Metouali (RCA), Youssef Fahli (RSB) and Issoufou Dayo (RSB).
In addition, the national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, and the coach of Wydad de Casablanca, Walid Regragui, are also on the list of nominees for the title of Coach of the Year.
