Morocco’s Futsal Team Receives Hero’s Welcome After Historic World Cup Run

After their brilliant run at the Futsal World Cup, the Moroccan players returned on Tuesday evening to Morocco. They were triumphantly welcomed at Rabat-Salé airport.
It was at 10:40 pm that the plane from Lithuania, carrying the Atlas Lions of Futsal, landed on the tarmac of Rabat-Salé airport. Soufiane El Mesrar and his teammates, led by coach Hicham Dguig, are returning to the country after having written a beautiful history of the discipline in Lithuania.
Even though they lost in the quarterfinals against Brazil, 2nd in the world ranking, the Atlas Lions had a historic run at the Futsal World Cup. In a statement to SNRTnews, Hicham Dguig and the players congratulated themselves on the work done. They take their defeat as an invitation to greater efforts for good results in the next international matches.
For the coach, Morocco must continue on this momentum in order to continue to impose itself on the continental and international level. As for the players Soufiane El Masrar, Achraf Saoud and Youssef Al Mazrei, they expressed their joy and pride in this historic performance, while indicating that this performance is the result of the great work that was done during the preparations for the World Cup.
