Morocco’s Futsal World Cup Journey Ends with Narrow Loss to Brazil in Quarter-Finals

The Moroccan Futsal team was eliminated on Sunday from the World Cup after its defeat against Brazil 1-0. An honorable defeat according to coach Hicham Dguig who said that the Moroccan team left the World Cup "with its head held high".
Morocco fell in the quarter-finals against Brazil. Soufiane El Mesrar had indicated the day before the match that Brazil was a formidable opponent and that playing against such a team would not be an easy task. But the Moroccan players, despite the defeat, had an exceptional run during this world futsal competition.
For the coach of Morocco, the players gave everything they had. This is why they were defeated by the smallest of margins against a Brazilian team with a very impressive record in the discipline.
For Hicham Dguig, this defeat is proof that the work will have to continue to develop this sport in Morocco in order to train generations who will honor the kingdom in major competitions. He also indicated that this discipline should be included in the school curriculum.
Achraf Saoud and Soufiane El Mesrar are delighted with this historic performance. For them, it is encouraging to have lost with this score against Brazil, a team ranked 2nd in the world.
