Morocco Fuel Prices: Diesel and Gasoline Rise Again at the Pump

This new increase of 0.25 dirham per liter took effect early Sunday morning at service stations across the Kingdom. While some operators updated their prices overnight from Saturday to Sunday, the increase was rolled out more broadly during the morning. Before this update, the price of a liter of diesel had remained around 10.57 dirhams, while premium gasoline was selling for approximately 12.26 dirhams.

According to professional sources cited by Hespress, this price increase is not directly attributable to the current military escalation in the Middle East. Although indirect effects are feared in the future, this increase had been prepared in advance and reflects the mechanisms of a market liberalized since 2015. Final prices nevertheless remain subject to variations depending on the geographical area, transportation costs, and each distributor’s commercial strategy.
