Travel to or from Morocco or France is subject to conditions. Morocco announced the resumption of flights to and from the kingdom from Tuesday, June 15, 2021, while travel flows between France and foreign countries are reopened as of this Wednesday, June 9.

France has classified Morocco as an orange zone, a country where the circulation of the virus still exists, but is under control and where there is no worrying variant. The entry conditions for travelers from the kingdom are as follows: Vaccinated travelers (AstraZeneca) will have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigen test of less than 48 hours before boarding, no test for them upon arrival on French territory, no quarantine; vaccinated travelers (Sinopharm) will have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigen test of less than 48 hours before boarding, an antigen test upon arrival and will be subject to a 7-day quarantine; unvaccinated travelers will also have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigen test of less than 48 hours before boarding, an antigen test upon arrival and will be subject to a seven-day quarantine.

French nationals (as well as their spouses and children), foreign nationals (European nationals and third-country nationals) residing in France (with a valid residence permit) and nationals of the European area as well as their spouses and children who are joining, in transit through France, their main residence in a country of the European area do not need to demonstrate the compelling reason to enter France from Morocco.

For its part, the kingdom has placed France on the A list, countries with positive indicators in terms of controlling the epidemiological situation, particularly the spread of virus variants. "Travelers from the metropolis - whether Moroccan nationals, foreigners established in Morocco, or citizens of these countries or foreigners residing there - can have access to Moroccan territory if they have a vaccination certificate and/or a negative PCR test result of at least 48 hours from the date of entry into the national territory. Foreign vaccination certificate holders will benefit from the same advantages granted by the Moroccan vaccination certificate to Moroccan citizens on national territory," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad said in a statement.
