Morocco’s New Football Coach Earns Record-Breaking Salary, Surpassing Predecessor

The real salary of the new coach of the Moroccan national football team, Vahid Halilhodžić, is far from what was reported by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
Hallilozic’s salary is around 1.5 million dirhams (150 million cents), the same as he was earning at FC Nantes. An astronomical sum that far exceeds what his predecessor, Hervé Renard, was earning, more precisely 1.2 million dirhams.
Thus, Fouzi Lekjaâ told an approximate truth during the presentation of the new coach of the Atlas Lions. What he announced as the Bosnian’s monthly salary, 800,000 dirhams, does not reflect reality.
The remuneration of the Moroccan team’s coach is justified. In addition to his net salary and his victory bonuses, he will receive a signing bonus of 15 million dirhams, according to an authorized source of LesEco.ma.
