Morocco’s First All-Female Café Opens, Offering Safe Space and Social Activities
Flower cafe is a 100% female café that has just officially opened its doors in Tetouan, in the north of Morocco.
Moroccan women and girls now have a 100% female café. Its name: Flower cafe. It offers its customers a range of facilities and social activities, namely: a reading area with a library, live music and karaoke every weekend. The café also offers its customers creative dishes.
"This is a 100% female space. Even the staff hired to work at the café will be made up of women," said Oumaima Ahrif, a café manager. She also said that women who wear the hijab can remove their headscarf if they wish. Similarly, they can discuss topics concerning women.
The Flower cafe Instagram account has about 29,300 followers. Celebrities like Moroccan model and influencer Abir Berani have already visited the café.
