Morocco to Face Zambia in Pre-AFCON Friendly on June 13

The national football team will enter the concentration phase starting June 3. On its schedule, a friendly match scheduled for June 13 with Zambia, pending the finding of a new opponent.
Supposed to join their base camp in Cairo 5 days before the start of the African Cup of Nations, scheduled between June 21 and July 19, the Atlas Lions will start preparations on June 3, with a friendly match against Zambia on June 13 on the program. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) will have to decide on the next opponent in the coming days.
The decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to bring forward the arrival dates of the national teams is mainly due to the number of countries participating in this edition, which the technical committee will have to visit before the start of the competition.
Before having all the players undergo an anti-doping test, the committee should, within 5 days, inform the delegations of the 24 countries of the new qualification systems, as well as the VAR techniques, which will be used for the first time in the African competition.
It should be remembered that the national team, which will not suffer any absences during this final phase, had a difficult draw, with Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa and Namibia as opponents in particular.
