Morocco’s Ezzalzouli Injured, Out for Upcoming Friendlies Against Tunisia and Benin

Another Atlas Lion will be missing for the friendly matches against Tunisia and Benin, scheduled for June 6 and 9.
New setback for the Morocco team. Abdessamad Ezzalzouli was injured on Wednesday with his team, Real Betis, during the Europa Conference League final against Chelsea (1-4). Scorer of Real Betis’ only goal in the 9th minute, the Moroccan striker had to leave in the 53rd minute of play due to an ankle sprain.
This injury to Ezzalzouli disrupts Walid Regragui’s plans, who had called up the player for the two friendly matches against Tunisia and Benin, scheduled for June. The Moroccan coach is waiting for the medical staff’s assessment of the severity of the player’s injury to decide whether to keep him on his list or not.
Several Atlas Lions will be unavailable due to injury for these two friendly matches. This is the case for Nayef Aguerd (Real Sociedad) and Noussair Mazraoui (Manchester United), which has forced the Moroccan coach to make last-minute changes.
The Morocco team will face Tunisia in a friendly match on Friday, June 6 at the Grand Stade in Fez. Kick-off is at 9:00 PM (Moroccan time). Regragui’s men will then face their Beninese counterparts on Monday, June 9, at the same venue and at the same time.
