Morocco Eyes Laurent Blanc as Potential World Cup Coach, Halilhodzic’s Future in Doubt

Morocco would be interested in former France national team coach Laurent Blanc to replace the Franco-Bosnian Vahid Halilhodzic, whose days are numbered at the helm of the team. If recruited, he will have to lead the Atlas Lions to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Morocco is considering firing Vahid Halilhodzic and is thinking of Laurent Blanc - who is looking for a new team - to replace him. The former Manchester United defender is also on the radar of Nigeria, but there are strong chances that the kingdom will recruit him, as he would have the opportunity to lead the Atlas Lions to the World Cup.
His recruitment to Morocco would benefit the Moroccan national team. Laurent Blanc is a coach steeped in experience. He spent two years on the bench of Al Rayyan SC, in Qatar, before being fired last February. He has won Ligue 1 four times, once with Bordeaux, and has also won the Coupe de France twice. The French coach could also work for the return of the Chelsea star, Hakim Ziyech, who has refused to join the national team as long as coach Vahid is there.
