Morocco Extends Vehicle Import Deadline for Expats and Tourists Amid COVID-19 Border Closures

The Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) has decided to extend the temporary admission period for vehicles of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) and foreign tourists registered abroad until 12/31/2020.
In a press release, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration informs Moroccans of the World and foreign tourists who have tourism vehicles imported under the temporary admission regime that following the closure of borders due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been decided, exceptionally, to extend, until 12/31/2020, the validity period of the temporary admissions (AT) of tourism means of transport expiring during the year 2020.
The persons concerned are invited to contact the customs services closest to their residence in Morocco to record this extension, concludes the same source.
