Morocco Extends Vehicle Import Deadline for Expats and Tourists Amid Travel Disruptions

The Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) has decided to extend the temporary admission (AT) deadline for vehicles of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) and foreign tourists registered abroad until June 30, 2022, without legal consequences.
In a press release, customs announced to tourists and MREs that it has decided to extend the validity period of temporary admissions (AT) for passenger vehicles until June 30, 2022, without legal consequences due to the persistence of difficulties in international travel.
This measure applies to passenger vehicles, registered motorcycles and pleasure boats arriving at maturity in 2020, 2021 or during the first half of 2022, the same source said.
Customs also invites holders of the ATs concerned or persons authorized to use these vehicles (descendants, ascendants and spouses, all non-resident in Morocco) to contact the customs services closest to their place of residence in Morocco to retrieve the new AT cards.
