Morocco Engages Diaspora in New National Development Plan

As part of the national day of migrants, a communication was organized for the benefit of Moroccans of the world at the headquarters of the prefecture of the districts of Ben M’Sik in Casablanca.

The objective of this meeting is to inquire about their situation and listen to their aspirations, particularly with regard to the new development model, recalls the governor of the prefecture of the districts of Ben M’Sik, Mohamed Nouchti, recalling the theme of the day chosen this year which is: "The role of Moroccans residing abroad in the implementation of the new development model".

In his speech, the governor indicated that this communication is part of the efforts made to consolidate direct contact between the various administrative services and the MREs with the objective of further facilitating their access to the various administrative services.

He also recalled that the special commission on the new development model has emphasized the need to adopt incentive approaches to attract highly qualified Moroccans of the world, recommending in this sense the creation of a dedicated database that will be made available to public and private institutions.

Referring to this year’s theme, Mr. Nouchti called on the Moroccan skills of the world to get more involved in the development projects launched in the Kingdom through the strengthening of partnerships with Moroccan public and private actors and the integration of these partnerships into a framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation to promote development projects.
