Morocco Emerges as Top Destination from Brussels Airport as Travel Rebounds

Morocco is one of the most popular destinations at the beginning of this year, from Brussels Zaventem Airport.
This period coincided with the reopening of the kingdom’s air borders on February 7, which allowed the resumption of tourism activities.
In its monthly report for the month of February, the airport indicates that it recorded nearly 825,000 passengers, up nearly 400% compared to February 2021, but down 50% compared to February 2019, before the health crisis.
In addition to Morocco, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, France, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States are cited among the most popular destinations from Brussels Airport.
In total, Brussels Airport recorded 9,930 flight movements during the month, compared to 15,517 in 2019.
