Morocco Emerges as Attractive Investment Hub for European Industries

Morocco is currently a credible alternative for European countries. Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Rabat, the Minister of Industry, Trade, Green Economy and Digital, Moulay Hafid Elalamy presented all the advantages that Morocco offers for European industry and how reliable it is to invest there.
The business climate in Morocco is as reliable and stable as can be. The Minister of Industry and Commerce is full of praise for the many advantages that make Morocco a wise choice. He mentions its geographical proximity to Europe, logistics costs, and the reduction of the environmental footprint of the supply chain. This was during the press conference held at the end of a meeting with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP), Olivér Várhelyi, on a working visit to Morocco, reports the MAP.
The minister, in a charm offensive aimed at European industrialists, invited them to continue and accelerate their development in Morocco as part of the new regional value chains. He specified that Morocco, which has proven itself sufficiently during the Covid-19 pandemic, aims to play a key role in the establishment of regional value chains at the Euro-Mediterranean level. He recalled that "Morocco, which has taken important steps in its energy transition, is resolutely committed to the green transition of its economy, through its industrial recovery plan of which the decarbonized and circular industry is the cornerstone".
The meeting between the two men is part of the strengthening of cooperation between Morocco and the European Union (EU). Oliver Várhelyi made a visit to Morocco on Tuesday and Wednesday, accompanied by the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson.
