Morocco’s Eid Al Adha Expected on August 12 as Hajj Pilgrimage Dates Announced

The pilgrimage to Mecca for the year 2019 will take place on August 9th next, 8 Dhul-Hijjah 1440. The date of the Eid Al Adha festival is scheduled, in all likelihood, for the 12th of the same month.
Provided that the beginning of the Muslim month of Dhul-Hijjah of the year 2019 takes place on August 2, the pilgrimage period to Mecca will be held from August 9 to 14, from 8 to 13 Dhul-Hijjah 1440, and the Eid al-Adha festival on August 12, 10 Dhul-Hijjah.
The fifth pillar of Islam, the pilgrimage to Mecca comes last just after Shahada (profession of faith), prayer, zakat (alms) and the fasting of the month of Ramadan.
Let us recall that the pilgrimage costs for the 2019 season, 1440, have been set by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs at 49,905.96 dirhams, marking an increase of 3,000 dirhams compared to last year. The payment deadlines have been set between February 18 and March 1 of the current year.
