Morocco to Determine Eid al-Fitr Date on June 4 as Ramadan Ends

While in most Muslim countries, the date of the end of Ramadan is already known, Morocco, on the other hand, announces that the observation of the crescent moon for the holy month will only take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
"The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs informs the honorable judges and delegates of Islamic affairs in the Kingdom that the observation of the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal 1440 H is scheduled for Tuesday, 29 Ramadan 1440 of the Hegira corresponding to June 4, 2019," the ministry said in a statement.
It therefore calls on the magistrates and other Habous delegates to inform it by telephone of the observation or not of the crescent moon.
In Saudi Arabia, Eid al-Fitr is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, at the same time as European countries, notably France and Belgium, but also the United States.
According to astronomical calculations, Eid al-Fitr will take place on Wednesday, June 5 in Morocco.
