Morocco Edges South Africa 1-0, but Coach Renard Warns of Complacency

Even though Morocco won 1-0 against the South African team, coach Hervé Renard is not satisfied with his players’ performance, believing that they did not have a great game.
"We played with fire. We did not respect this team, we will have to remember that. We did not play well in the first half. We could have been penalized," said the French coach, adding: "We did not start the game well. We could have done better in the first half. We have to play 90 minutes and not 45 minutes".
So, in the next match, they will have to "be careful" because "these are the best teams on the African scene participating in this championship, which will make the next round very difficult". They will therefore have to prepare well to try to go as far as possible.
For Hervé Renard, several teams have achieved good results, notably Egypt, Algeria, Senegal, Nigeria but also Madagascar. And the situation can, of course, change in the next round.
Returning to the performance of his players, he felt that they did not make the necessary efforts against South Africa, compared to the very good match against the Ivory Coast team.
