Morocco Eases Entry for Tourists with Hotel Reservations, Reopening Borders

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, has simplified the procedure for foreign nationals holding a confirmed hotel reservation to access Morocco. This is the good news that the President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), Chakib Alj, announced to his members.
Foreign nationals holding a confirmed hotel reservation in Morocco can now access Moroccan territory. "Mr. Nasser Bourita, to whom I wish to renew my sincere thanks, has also given a favorable response to the CGEM’s request for authorization for foreign nationals with a hotel reservation to access Morocco," wrote Mr. Alj in a letter addressed to the members of the confederation. This measure came into effect on Sunday, September 6.
"These procedures obviously only concern foreign nationals not subject to the visa formality," specifies the president of the employers’ organization. He also called on the persons concerned to respect the health measures, in particular the obligation to carry out the required Covid-19 screening tests beforehand.
