Morocco Eases COVID-19 Travel Requirements for Tourism Sector

The Moroccan government is responding favorably to a request made by tourism professionals. This concerns the elimination of the serological test and the duration of validity of the PCR test.
The presidents of the Regional Tourism Councils (CRT) had asked the Moroccan authorities to eliminate the serological test and extend to 72 hours the duration of the PCR test results instead of 48 hours. The relevant ministerial departments (Prime Minister’s Office, Health, Foreign Affairs) have accepted this request and the official announcement will be made in the coming days, we are told by Médias24.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, had simplified, on September 6, the procedure for accessing Morocco for foreign nationals holding a confirmed hotel reservation or the invitation of a Moroccan company. They were required to previously carry out the required Covid-19 screening tests dating back less than 48 hours.
But foreign prescribers (T.O and airlines) had reported their difficulties in scheduling the kingdom for the winter season under these conditions. The other difficulty is related to the availability of results within 48 hours.
