Morocco Dominates MENA Tourism: 4 Leaders Ranked Among Top 100 Influencers

A renowned American magazine places four Moroccan leaders in the ranking of the 100 most influential leaders in the travel and tourism sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Four Moroccan leaders are among the top 100 most influential leaders in the travel and tourism sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region 2025, established by Forbes. The first is Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy. She ranks fifth in the ranking. She is also the only woman and the only North African to be in the top 10. Her position is due to her initiatives to modernize the sector and support tourism investment.
Imad Barrakad, CEO of the Moroccan Tourist Engineering Company, is the second Moroccan leader in the ranking. He ranks 28th. He is recognized for his strategic territorial development projects. Next comes Adel El Fakir. The CEO of the National Airports Office (ONDA) takes 37th place thanks to his efforts in the expansion and modernization of airport infrastructure. Abdelhamid Addou, CEO of the national airline Royal Air Maroc, is the fourth Moroccan leader in the ranking. He ranks 45th. He is recognized for his efforts in the growth of the company’s network and the strengthening of its position in Africa and beyond.
"Despite the current challenges in the Middle East, the region remains a major and key global tourist hub, driven by various attractions across the GCC and a solid pipeline of ongoing developments," comments Forbes.
