Morocco Dominates Arab Taekwondo Cup with 13-Medal Haul, Including 3 Golds

The Moroccan taekwondo team put in a very good performance at the Arab Taekwondo Cup held in the United Arab Emirates, winning 13 medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze).
Gold was won by Salma Morino (-49 kg), Meriem Khallal (-62 kg) and Fatima Zahra Abou Fares (+73 kg). The 3 silver medals went to Fatima Zahra Bensaïd (-46 kg), Meriem Enniya (-62 kg) and Omaima Boumah (-73 kg).
As for the bronze medals, they were won by Nezha Al Assal (-49 kg), Meriem Anems (-53 kg), Sanaa Baaiza (-67 kg), Hatim Borho (-54 kg), Abdel Basset Wasfi (-63 kg), Faissal Saidi (-68 kg) and Mohamed Farhane (-87 kg). The participants in this competition were supervised by Abdelkader Zerouri, Hakima Meslahi and Issam Acharnoubi.
The last outing of the Moroccan taekwondo players before the one in the United Arab Emirates dates back to last July. It was at the Kyorugi African Championships in Kigali where the Moroccan team won seven medals, including 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.
