Morocco Offers Olympic Medalists Up to $200,000 Bonus for Paris 2024

The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) announced on Wednesday that Moroccan athletes who win a medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris could pocket up to 2 million dirhams.
This measure aims to encourage Moroccan athletes to better defend the colors of Morocco. As for silver and bronze medalists, they will have 1.25 MDH and 750,000 DH respectively, if it is an individual discipline. For team sports (2 to 4 athletes), the bonuses will be 1 MDH for gold, 750,000 DH for silver and 500,000 DH for the bronze medal. For team sports with more than 5 people, the bonus is 700,000 DH (gold), 500,000 (silver) and 400,000 (bronze), specifies the CNOM in a press release.
The Moroccan National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports have planned bonuses for Moroccan athletes who will not be on the podium. They vary from 300,000 DH (4th place) to 50,000 DH (21st to 32nd places) for individual sports, 200,000 DH to 33,000 for group sports, and 150,000 to 25,000 DH for team sports.
The technical supervisors responsible for the preparation of the qualified athletes, whose names appear in the agreements signed between the CNOM and the Royal Moroccan Federations, will also be rewarded.
