Morocco to Award Olympic Bonuses Despite Disappointing Paris Performance

Despite the fiasco, all Moroccan athletes who participated in the Paris Olympics will receive bonuses.
The Moroccan Olympic Commission, chaired by Faïçal Laraïchi, will offer bonuses of several million dirhams to all Moroccan athletes who participated in the Paris Olympics. The gold medalist will receive 2 million dirhams, while the silver medalist will receive 1.25 million dirhams. As for the bronze medalist, he will receive 750,000 dirhams.
For team sports composed of 2 to 4 members, the gold medalists will each receive 1 million dirhams, the silver medalists 750,000 dirhams each, and the bronze medalists 500,000 dirhams each. Similarly, participants in teams of five members or more will receive 700,000 dirhams per athlete in the event of a gold medal, 500,000 dirhams in the event of a silver medal, and 400,000 dirhams in the event of a bronze medal.
The individual athlete ranked fourth will receive a bonus of 300,000 dirhams. A bonus of 200,000 dirhams is planned for teams of 2 to 4 members, and 150,000 dirhams for teams of five athletes or more. The Olympic Commission will also grant a bonus of 275,000 dirhams to the athlete ranked fifth. Teams of 2 to 4 members will receive 183,000 dirhams, while teams of five members or more will receive 138,000 dirhams.
