Morocco Deploys Military to Enforce Coronavirus Lockdown Measures

The army has been called in to reinforce the enforcement of the health state of emergency, which has been in effect since Friday at 6 pm.
The Royal Armed Forces have been deployed in the various cities of the kingdom, which is thus moving to a new stage in its fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
A few hours before the confinement, a contingent was deployed in Casablanca to ensure the strict application of this new measure. On the highways, dozens of armored vehicles on a mission, circulate and converge towards a meeting point in order to release the elements assigned to this royal mission.
After the recording of 11 new cases during the day of March 20, 2020, the balance of contaminations in Morocco has now reached 85 confirmed cases, informs the Ministry of Health on its website.
