The prince’s last public appearance was on May 2. He was with the Moroccan sovereign as well as Prince Moulay Rachid for the Eid al-Fitr prayer.
The birth of the young prince on May 8, 2003 was joyfully celebrated throughout the country. The heir apparent was named Hassan in tribute to his grandfather, the late King Hassan II.
Moulay Hassan has a younger sister, Lalla Khadija, born on February 28, 2007 in Rabat. The two children of King Mohammed VI have pursued their studies at the Royal College of Rabat, founded in 1942 by the late Mohammed V.
