King Mohammed VI and Crown Prince Make Unexpected Public Appearance in Rabat

On Thursday, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was at the wheel of his classic car, accompanied by his father, King Mohammed VI. The sovereign exchanged greetings with passers-by who greeted him as he passed through the streets of the Yaâcoub El Mansour neighborhood. Followed by a vehicle of the bodyguards, King Mohammed VI and the Crown Prince traveled through the popular district of Yaâcoub El Mansour, passing through Al Kifah Avenue, towards the Atlantic Ocean.

Community activist Abdelali Rami spotted the royal convoy. "Praise be to God, I just saw the sovereign of the country accompanied by the Crown Prince strolling in our neighborhood to inquire about the conditions of the citizens, in good health and in full form," he wrote in a post published on his Facebook page. He implored divine protection on King Mohammed VI. "The capital Rabat witnessed, this afternoon, Thursday, an inspection tour" by the sovereign. He was seen driving a classic car in several neighborhoods of the city," Rami added.
