Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay Hassan: Speculation Grows on University Plans

While the heir apparent Moulay Hassan obtained his international baccalaureate in the "Economics and Social Sciences" stream last July, the national press is already questioning his university career.
According to the weekly Al Ayam, several hypotheses are to be considered. Failing to follow in the footsteps of his father, King Mohammed VI, by pursuing law studies at the Mohamed V University in Rabat, Prince Moulay Hassan could well take the path of his grandfather, the late Hassan II.
Given that he holds an international baccalaureate obtained in Rabat, Moulay Hassan could, like his grandfather, opt for higher education abroad.
For now, adds the same source, it would still be premature to pronounce on the academic future of the crown prince. Economic studies would be more logical given his high school background, concludes the weekly.
