Morocco's COVID-19 Death Toll Nears 7,000 as 55 New Fatalities Reported

The Coronavirus has caused 55 deaths in the last 24 hours in Morocco. With these new figures, the kingdom is approaching the 7,000 death mark since the start of the epidemic in March.

In the Greater Casablanca-Settat region, there are 14 deaths, including 13 in Casablanca and 1 in Settat. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra reports 13 deaths with 5 in Salé, 4 in Rabat, 2 in Khémisset, 1 in Kénitra and 1 in Skhirat-Témara.

In the Marrakech-Safi region, there are 7 deaths, all in Marrakech. The coronavirus killed 6 patients, including 2 in Taroudant, 2 in Tata, 1 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. The Oriental and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima each record 5 deaths. Oujda-Angad and Berkane report 2 deaths against 1 in Nador while Ouezzane records 2 deaths against 1 in Tanger-Assilah, Tétouan and M’Diq-Fnideq.

Fès-Meknès and Beni Mellal-Khénifra announce 2 deaths with 2 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Fès and 1 in Meknès. As for Darâa-Tafilalet, it recorded 1 death in Errachidia.
