Morocco Considers Resuming Tarawih Prayers for Ramadan 2021 Amid Pandemic

A few weeks before the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is looking into the logistical and human conditions necessary for the conduct of Tarawih.
As Ramadan 2021 approaches, preparations are well underway on the part of the supervisory ministry, which has just sent a letter to all its regional delegations in this regard.
The delegates were thus called upon to communicate the exhaustive list of natural persons and associations, who had supervised, in coordination with the local and provincial authorities, the organization of the supererogatory prayers in previous years.
The document stressed the need to authorize the ritual in three specific places, namely inside the mosque, the esplanade of the mosques, or in public spaces reserved for this purpose.
