Morocco will experience a time change on April 1. This will allow Moroccans to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan, which will begin on April 13, without disruption.
The time change is in accordance with Article 2 of Decree No. 2.18.855. Once Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated, the legal time will be advanced again. According to the government decree, the currently in force summer time is maintained permanently. This decree aims to avoid several changes throughout the year as well as their consequences.
Pending the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Moroccans are wondering whether the Tarawih prayers will, this year, be performed in the mosques in these times of Covid-19.
