Morocco Shifts to GMT for Ramadan, Adjusting Clocks Ahead of Holy Month

As of Sunday, April 11, Moroccans will have to delay their watches by 60 minutes. A return to GMT time that is part of the holy month of Ramadan, which, pending confirmation from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
This is the same measure in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of Decree No. 2.18.855 published on 16 Safar 1440 (October 26, 2018), relating to legal time. The return to GMT+1 schedule will take place on Sunday, May 16, at 2 a.m.
The maintenance of summer time throughout the year, except during the month of Ramadan, has been definitively adopted by the government in October 2018.
