Morocco Conducts Naval Missile Tests Off Southern Coast

Naval maneuvers are currently underway off the city of Tan-Tan, in southern Morocco, where the Royal Moroccan Navy does not hesitate to test missiles.
The information is revealed by the specialized site Far Maroc, which states that since February 18, the Moroccan Navy has been carrying out military exercises with Sea-Air and Sea-Sea firing exercises. No other country is participating in these military maneuvers.
According to the same source, these exercises are being conducted from a Sigma-type frigate that the Moroccan authorities have acquired from the Netherlands. In total, the kingdom has three frigates of this type.
These exercises are scheduled until the beginning of March and will allow, according to Far-Maroc, to test the Moroccan defense system which must protect the Moroccan coastline whose length is 3,500 kilometers!
Furthermore, Morocco is considering acquiring a submarine for its naval base in Ksar Sghir, Spanish intelligence services have revealed to the specialized press. This acquisition, which should take effect in the very near future, is worrying the Iberian neighbor who will no longer have supremacy at the level of the Strait of Gibraltar.
