Moroccan Navy Rescues 151 Sub-Saharan Migrants from Sinking Boats in Gibraltar Strait

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, 16 makeshift inflatable boats carrying 151 sub-Saharan migrants were rescued by the Royal Moroccan Navy as they were about to sink in the Strait of Gibraltar.
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof," says the proverb. For candidates for illegal immigration, "sufficient unto the day is the attempt to reach the Promised Land." Despite the risk of shipwreck and the constant dangers that await them, hundreds of sub-Saharan Africans are "trying their luck" to reach southern Spain, the gateway to Europe, every day.
This is the case of these 151 sub-Saharan Africans who, in the night from Saturday to Sunday, risked their lives again, trying aboard makeshift boats, this adventure to which the poor living conditions in their own countries force them, as most of them testify.
These sub-Saharans were only saved thanks to the coast guards of the Royal Moroccan Navy on patrol in the Strait of Gibraltar. All the candidates for illegal emigration were safely transported to Tangier.
