Morocco Coach Regragui to Visit Turkish-Based Players in January

The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, should fly to Turkey in January to meet the Moroccan players playing in the local championship.
On the agenda of this visit are meetings with Youssef En-Nesyri and Sofyan Amrabat, the two Moroccan internationals from Fenerbahçe who are currently shining in Turkey.
The coach should also meet with Hakim Ziyech, the star of Galatasaray, despite the absence of the latter in some recent matches. The Moroccan player could, however, have already changed clubs, with Rennes being on the shortlist of his next destinations during the winter transfer window.
According to sources close to the matter, these trips allow the coach to assess the players’ form, closely monitor their progress, and ensure their physical and mental preparation for the challenges ahead.
This trip to Turkey follows similar visits to Qatar and France. Other countries could be visited by the national coach and his team in order to select the best elements for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.
