Morocco Coach Scouting Europe Ahead of World Cup Qualifier Squad Announcement

Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, is currently in Europe to observe certain new players and evaluate their form before finalizing the list of the Atlas Lions for the matches against Niger and Tanzania, counting for the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Moroccan national team will face Niger and Tanzania on March 17 and 24, 2025, as part of the fifth and sixth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Walid Regragui should unveil the final list of players who will be called up for the training camp at the Mohammed VI Center in Rabat on March 13, during a press conference. Beforehand, he is conducting a European tour to observe and meet the Moroccan players who could feature on this list, which should indeed see many changes. In this sense, the coach of the Moroccan national team has decided to closely follow the trio composed of Anass Salah-Eddine, player of AS Roma (Italy), Chemsdine Talbi, player of Club Bruges (Belgium), and Maroan Sannadi Harrouch, player of Athletic Bilbao (Spain), reports Kooora.
Walid Regragui is also interested in the profile of Maroan Sannadi Harrouch. He plans to meet the player during his visit to Spain at the end of the month, in order to discuss with him the possibility of joining the Atlas Lions squad. It is not excluded that the national coach will attend the match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, which will take place at the Anoeta stadium, as part of the first leg of the semi-finals of the Spanish King’s Cup, on February 26. He would like to observe live the duo Brahim Díaz, player of Real Madrid, and Nayef Aguerd, defender of Real Sociedad.
It should be noted that the Atlas Lions are currently leading group E with nine points, "which is a flawless run".
