Morocco Set for World Cup Qualifier Against Tanzania as Regragui Weighs Lineup Changes

After their training session on Sunday at the Saïdia federal center, the Atlas Lions of Morocco will face the Tanzanian national team on Tuesday as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Moroccan supporters expect Walid Regragui to field certain players.
For about an hour and twenty minutes, the Atlas Lions trained on Sunday, March 23 at the Saïdia federal center under the supervision of their coach Walid Regragui. A training session focused on technical and tactical aspects. The session saw the participation of international substitutes. The latter could be included in the starting lineup for the match against Tanzania, with substitutes El Khannouss and Ismael Saibari having contributed to Morocco’s victory over Niger (2-1).
In addition to El Khannouss and Ismael Saibari, Moroccan supporters hope that defender Omar El Hilali, a player from the Spanish club Espanyol, who has shown a good level in Spanish league matches, and Chamseddine Talbi, who sparked a major controversy in Belgium after refusing to wear the Belgian jersey, will play in this match scheduled for Tuesday at the Honor Complex in the city of Oujda, starting at 9:30 pm.
