West Ham Loses Aguerd to Real Sociedad Amid Internal Conflict

The behaviors of two former West Ham members caused the departure of Nayef Aguerd from London Stadium to Real Sociedad.
In September 2024, Nayef Aguerd joined Real Sociedad on loan for a season, although he was expecting a transfer beyond 12 months and was on the radar of Germany, Italy, Spain and Saudi Arabia. Two former West Ham members, Tim Steidten, former football director, and Julen Lopetegui, former coach, are largely responsible. Moreover, the two former members accuse each other of having caused the departure of the Moroccan central defender international, reports Claret &Hugh. They have acknowledged being mistaken about the Atlas Lion, to whom they constantly made reproaches.
Belated regrets? West Ham lost a player who is currently shining at Real Sociedad. He has played 25 matches, in all competitions, including 16 in La Liga. His club is currently 11th in the standings and qualified for the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. It remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old player will return to London Stadium one day.
