Morocco’s Coach Regragui Faces Squad Shake-up for AFCON Qualifiers

Placed in Group B, Morocco will face the Central African Republic on October 12 and 15 in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) to be held in Morocco. Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, should make some changes.
Walid Regragui has not yet revealed the list of players who will be called up for these two matches. Changes and new call-ups are nevertheless expected to strengthen the team. Thus, some key players such as Brahim Diaz, the Spanish-Moroccan striker of Real Madrid (Spain), the defender Chadi Riad of Crystal Palace (England), as well as Hakim Ziyech, the star of Galatasaray (Turkey) will be absent from the next training camp due to recent drops in performance and injuries.
The national coach intends to compensate for their absences.
