Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Meets with Bayern-Bound Mazraoui, Signaling Potential Reconciliation

Atlas Lions coach Vahid Halilhodzic visited this Friday the new Dutch champion, Noussair Mazraoui, with whom he has been at odds for more than a year.
The meeting took place in Amsterdam where the midfielder stood out by winning the Dutch championship with his club, Ajax. He then officially announced his departure for Bayern Munich.
In the images of the meeting published on social networks and relayed by the media, we see the two men, smiling, posing with the Moroccan flag and a bottle of water. This led some observers to say that the rift between the coach and his player is over.
Mazraoui’s last call-up dates back to October 13, 2020 for a friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo. He had declined the coach’s call-up for the 2022 World Cup playoff rounds against the DRC.
The future Bayern Munich player could therefore participate in the 2022 World Cup, for which the Atlas Lions have qualified. Halilhodzic should also meet Hakim Ziyech in the coming days.
