Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Faces Challenges Ahead of 2022 Africa Cup of Nations

The coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic does not appreciate the conditions in which he is preparing the 2022 CAN, often marked by the absence of work of several key players and the lack of spectators in the stands.
The technical staff chief points the finger at European clubs that retain international players in the run-up to international competitions, reports Assabah. These clubs fear that Moroccan players will contract Covid-19 in the country.
As for the absence of the public, the Franco-Bosnian coach believes that it does not motivate his players enough. Vahid Halilhodzic also warned his players not to underestimate the opposing team, the Central African Republic.
On Friday, November 13, the Moroccans had won their first match (4-1) on the pitch of the Mohammed V sports complex. The return match is scheduled for this Sunday in Douala, Cameroon. The Atlas Lions will have to win another victory to be the leader of the group.
