Morocco’s Coach Halilhodzic Eyes Ihattaren for World Cup Qualifier Prep

The Atlas Lions face Ghana and Burkina Faso in friendly matches in June that serve as preparation for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Among the new dual-national players that national coach Vahid Halilhodzic is about to summon is Mohamed Ihattaren.
For the upcoming international competitions, Vahid Halilhodzic dreams of a strong Moroccan team capable of going far. That’s why the coach continues to look for new profiles to build his team in preparation for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers that will begin next September, reports the daily Al Akhbar.
The matches against Ghana and Burkina Faso will be tests that will allow the coach to detect the flaws and refine his strategies before entering the heart of the matter in September, namely the World Cup qualifiers that will take place in Qatar in 2022. The two matches will take place on June 8 and 12 on the pitch of the Moulay Abdellah sports complex. Even if these are friendly matches, the Atlas Lions hope to win them to move up in the FIFA ranking.
In addition to the players who have participated in all the sporting events in recent months, Vahid Halilhodzic also plans to call up four new players if FIFA allows him to. This is the case of West Ham United player Issa Diop, Anouar Aït El Haj of Anderlecht, Amine Adli of Toulouse FC. There is also the midfielder of PSV Eindhoven Mohamed Ihattaren who had chosen last year the Dutch jersey, but who regrets today his decision not to have opted from the beginning for Morocco.
