Morocco Coach Demands More from Team Despite Win Against Senegal

The Atlas Lions beat the Teranga Lions 3-1 last Friday, August 9. Although Vahid Halilhodzic is pleased with the performance of his players, he believes they still have enough resources to do better.
The national coach calls on his protégés to give more against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Vahid Halilhodzic prefers to play the card of caution, informs the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. "We must rejoice in this victory and the way we played, but we must recognize that we have shortcomings and points to improve. However, it is an important victory for the rest of the meetings we will face," he said.
Nevertheless, the fact that Morocco managed to achieve such a result against a team as impressive as Senegal reinforces the coach in the choice of the players who delivered this battle. This is the case of Selim Amallah from Standard Liège who started the hostilities in the 10th minute, followed by Youssef En-Nesiry in the 71st minute, and Youssef El-Arabi. The only Senegalese goal was obtained on a penalty in the 88th minute.
According to the daily, Morocco relied on quick combinations, a muscular game, and complicity to unravel Senegal’s strategy.
