Morocco Coach Delays World Cup Qualifier Squad Announcement Amid Club Commitments

The supporters of the Atlas Lions will have to wait a little longer. Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, has postponed the announcement of the list of players summoned for the matches against Zambia and Congo scheduled in June as part of the qualifications for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Walid Regragui will unveil the list of the Atlas Lions for the match against Congo Brazzaville scheduled on June 11 at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, starting at 5 p.m. (local time), counting for the fourth round of qualifications for the 2026 World Cup USA, Canada, Mexico next week. The delay in the announcement of the list is justified by the decisive matches that many Moroccan players will play on Saturday, May 25 in the various competitions in which they participate with their clubs, believes the site Kooora.
Achraf Hakimi will play the French Cup final with PSG against Olympique Lyonnais in Lille. His compatriot Sofyan Amrabat will play the FA Cup final with Manchester United against Manchester City. As for Amine Adli, he will play the German Cup final with Leverkusen against Kaiserslautern. Soufiane Rahimi will play the AFC Champions League final with Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates against Yokohama of Japan. The fifth final of the CAF Champions League will oppose the Egyptian club Al Ahly of Reda Slim to Esperance of Tunis, in Cairo.
