Morocco Climbs to Top 5 Favorite Destinations for French Travelers in 2025

The French have not lost their desire to travel. However, the January 2025 data from the Orchestra barometer for Echo Touristique, a reference for tourism professionals, reveal several significant changes in their travel habits, reports Ouest France. This study "provides valuable information on the trends and favorite destinations of the French in 2025."

With a 9.7% increase in business volume, Morocco ranks fifth in the top 10 favorite destinations of the French in 2025. It owes this position to its cities like Marrakech or Fez. The kingdom is just behind Tunisia (23.9%). It is followed by Egypt (+77% in business volume). Spain tops the ranking with a 9.9% increase in business volume. It is followed by Greece, which maintains its position (+8.5%).

Metropolitan France, for its part, occupies the third place, but with a slight decline (-3.2%). Italy takes the seventh place. The Dominican Republic and the United States follow. Portugal completes the top 10.
