Morocco is one of the countries with the highest risk of doping. This is indicated by the latest ranking of the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).
Of the three categories defined by the AIU, A (highest risk of doping), B and C (lowest risk), Morocco and Nigeria are in category A. Bahrain, Belarus, Ethiopia, Kenya, Ukraine and Russia are also in this category.
The AIU notes that the threat of doping in Morocco remains. Worse, this situation is far from coming to an end.
In total, six Moroccan athletes have been suspended for doping over the past decade.
