Doping Scandals and Legal Disputes Threaten Moroccan Sports’ International Standing

The image of Moroccan sport internationally is not the best. The cases of doping of Moroccan athletes are countless, as are the disputes that Moroccan clubs submit to the international sports authorities, which can have consequences on several sports federations.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has received a warning from FIFA, given the pile of disputes before the CAS in which Moroccan clubs are involved. The football federation is being questioned to work to reduce this flow which does not honor the Kingdom, reports the daily Assabah.
Following the FRMF, the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation FRMA is also not in good standing. Given the multitude of doping cases among Moroccan athletes, the IAAF threatens to exclude it from any participation in international competitions, warns the Casablanca daily.
Like football and athletics, basketball, chess or badminton are not in good standing and risk disappearing, adds the same source, which also recalls that the Royal Moroccan Rugby Federation has been suspended from all sports competition; but there, because of poor management.
