Former Moroccan Athlete Exposes Alleged Rape and Doping Scandals in National Athletics Program

Former Moroccan athlete Yassin Fakir has revealed cases of rape and doping within Moroccan athletics. Testimonies that could bring down several heads and call into question the performances of certain athletes.
After the revelations of Saïd Aouita on doping practices in Moroccan athletics in the 1990s and early 2000s, it is the turn of this former athlete to expose these scandals kept secret for years and published by the daily Assabah. On his Facebook page, the now retired athlete posted an audio recording, widely shared on social media, which reveals these cases of rape of minors and doping practices within the athletics federation during the pre-Abdeslam Ahizoune period.
According to Yassin Fakir, a pacemaker would be involved in cases of rape of athletes. These cases are also under investigation in the courts of the kingdom. According to the same source, the suspect, finally fired from the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation (FRMA) after being caught in the act, is also being prosecuted in four cases of sexual assault, including one against a minor athlete.
The former athlete wanted to reassure about the scope of his act, which has no connection with Abdeslam Ahizoune, and the FRMA, which has played a major role in getting Morocco off the blacklist of countries that protect doping.
However, the coming months are expected to be difficult for some former Moroccan athletes, who have used doping and who risk having their medals revoked. "You just have to see the deplorable state of health of some retired athletes today to understand that they resorted to doping."
