Morocco Claims 3 Spots in World’s Top 10 Road Trip Rankings

With the Atlas Mountains (4th), the Sahara Loop (5th) and the Coastal Circuit (6th), Morocco dominates the ranking of the 10 best road trips in the world, established by the site CarMats.co.uk. The Savannah Way (Australia) tops the ranking. This network of highways and main roads is followed by The Grand Circle (United States) and Route 66 (United States). The Carretera Austral (Chile) occupies the 7th place. Then come The Danube (Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria) and the Trans-Kalahari Highway (from Botswana to Namibia). Transpantaneira (Brazil) completes the top 10.

To establish this ranking, the site took into account the average temperature in summer, annual rainfall, hours of sunshine, pollution and national parks of each destination, but also the number of days required to cover the length of the road.
